Marketing that hits the mark

The Challenge:

Shade of Red needed to do a campaign that would strengthen their marketing efforts, build awareness of an upcoming Kickstarter campaign, and drive sales toward their limited edition volumes.

The Problem:

People prefer and are more engaged with visuals in comparison to static images. Showing previews are cool but people don’t pay as much attention to that anymore.

The Insight:

Instead of reinventing the wheel, find a way to give the people what they ask for.

The Idea:

Make an anime and bring the Shade of Red world to life with a teaser.

The Execution

Create a 30-second animated visual of the Shade of Red characters to promote on social media campaign and build momentum and engagement with the community.

  • Sold Out Launch: Limited-edition volumes sold out after launch

  • High Engagement: Twitter/X engagement increased significantly, creating buzz across fan communities

  • Collaboration Requests: Other companies within the industry reached out for potential partnerships

  • Funding Readiness: The foundational assets we built were later used to apply for business funding and future campaigns
