A new brand and event launched from scratch

The Challenge:

Eden At had 6 months to build brand awareness and produce a 3-day event that would highlight artists of color during Art Basel but lacked money and credibility as a new brand.

The Problem:

Every year, thousands of people converge for major events like Miami Art Basel. But creatives of color rarely get the spotlight the way they deserve.

The Insight:

If there aren’t enough seats at the table, bring your own chairs.

The Idea:

A 3-day event, for creatives and by creatives, to showcase local underrecognized artists of color and give back to their community.

The Execution:

This included an art exhibition and live installation, fireside chats, and a partnership with #HashtagLunchbag for a community service day. All of the events were promoted on social media.

The Results:

  • 300+ signups for event programming

  • $10K+ raised through public and private donations

  • $40K+ in grants secured for programming

  • A 3-year partnership and residency with the City of Overtown
